| I am a fine art photographer who also shoots images for editorial and advertising assignments. My images explore interpersonal relationships, food, gender, identity and power. I am especially interested in the relationships that people have with food and with each other in the presence of food. Food, like sex is an important catalyst for so many of life's great themes. It lends itself to vast symbolism and interpretations and I love the rituals surrounding it. I was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1968 and received my BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 1991. I then moved to Tucson, Arizona and started working at the groundbreaking Swanstock Agency as part of their creative team. While there, I worked alongside the world's top fine art photographers, photography editors and art directors and gained extensive experience working with clients from concept through publication. My commercial clients have included Random House, Simon and Schuster, American Airlines, Canyon Ranch, The Sci-Fi Channel, Mad Magazine, T.V. Guide Interactive, Epicurious.com, Saatchi & Saatchi, Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine, U.S. News and World Report, Phoenix Home & Garden Magazine and Glamour.
